Nice to meet you. We are Georg, Johnny and Peter from Worry.

Worry is a product developer team trying to propose inspiring and meaningful solutions for daily life. We envision a better today, a plastic-free home that’s good for you and good for the environment. We use only natural materials and absolutely no toxic chemicals. Zero waste, zero worries. 

Before we launch a new product, we do our best to ensure that it’s comfortable, plastic-free, durable and visually appealing—though that’s a matter of taste.

Yes, we use resources, it´s impossible not to. But we have high standards. That’s why, with every product we bring to market, we ask ourselves: What is the right natural material for this? We focus on minimal, multi-use, fitter-for-purpose and durable products. Our mission is to rethink traditional products and practices, improve conditions, and thereby bring about positive change in our industry. But no worries, we have fun too.

Here comes a glimpse into our journey so far:

November 2020
When we started the Worry project, we didn´t have a name yet. There were just the three of us, and for four years we worked every Thursday on a compostable sofa.  

Dezember 2021
We had promised to present a finished design by the end of 2021—but we didn’t succeed. We hadn’t yet figured out how to produce the back-supportive part within our ecological framework.

August 2022
After two and a half years of research, sourcing, and testing dozens of shapes and materials, our funding ran out, but we had a few prototypes to build on. We established the name „Microsofa“ and faced a decision: with the decision: give up on the project or keep building.

March 2023
We found a way to support the back. The idea came from a snowboard boot. Strange, but effective. 

Februar 2024
We had ignored the seating comfort issue for a long time. When sitting for extended periods or moving around, the materials inside kept shifting further and further back, making it impossible to sink comfortably into the center of the seat.

March 2025
With the help of our production community, we took another closer look at the internal structure and finally found a simple solution that met our comfort standards.

Oktober 2026
We’re launching the first products in a limited initial run: We’re keeping quantities low to gather feedback from you—our early supporters—first. Progress is slow, but this way we know we’re not wasting any resources. Our products are made at our local workshops in Vienna by experienced craftspeople we know personally. We are nothing without them.
